Located on the eastern Balkan Peninsula, Bulgaria sits at the crossroads of Europe and Asia, where ancient cultures, fertile landscapes, and shifting climates converge.

The Danubian Plain spreads across the north, a rolling landscape of fields and river valleys shaped by a temperate continental climate, where warm summers often fuel powerful thunderstorms. Farther south lies the Upper Thracian Plain, lower and warmer, influenced by continental systems and Mediterranean air masses flowing inward from the Aegean region.
